Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled FSR Journeyperson who will function as a crew lead. As a crew lead, you will oversee all aspects of solar projects, code compliance, ensuring safety, efficiency, and top-notch craftsmanship. You’ll lead a dedicated team, travel across southern BC as needed, and play a crucial role in our growth story.

Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):
– Install, maintain, and repair residential and commercial solar PV systems. (Racking systems, inverters, solar panels and batteries)
– Train apprentices as per Solos training plan and supervise accordingly.

– Perform electrical installations and upgrades such as panel upgrades, sub panel additions, and battery installations.

– Conduct trenching, concrete work, and structural installations per specifications.

– Complete attic work involving wire runs and electrical terminations.

– Maintain cleanliness and safety on job sites.

– Pay meticulous attention to detail and take pride in delivering high-quality work.

-Regular communication with office staff to ensure smooth delivery of turnkey projects.

Qualifications:

– Journeyperson Red Seal ticket from a recognized institution.

– FSR Certification

– Class 5 driver’s license with clean driving abstract.

– Comfortable working on ladders and at heights in diverse weather conditions.

– Ability for prolonged bending, twisting, and lifting of heavy materials. (Up to 60 pounds)

-Willingness to travel within BC to complete installations. (Up to 25% of the year)

 Excellent organization, and communication skills.

Proven ability to manage a team and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Assets (preferred but not required):

– Previous solar installation experience or solar installation training

– Fall arrest certificate

– Construction or roofing experience

Job Schedule:

– Full-time position with varying shifts based on seasonality

– Spring-Fall: 4 days x 10 hours/day with overtime available

– Winter: 5 days x 8 hours/day
